PFA is different because it is a melt-processable PFA. This means we can melt it into a smooth liquid. We then pour or mold it directly into the valve. When it cools down, it becomes one solid, continuous piece. There are no tiny gaps or “tunnels” like in the PTFE powder.

If a chemical soaks into the lining, the lining might bubble or peel. This is called “blistering.” PFA resists blistering much better than PTFE does. This means the parts last longer and do not need to be replaced as often.

You might also have to pay a fine for the leak. PFA might cost more at the start, but it saves money over time. It lasts longer and prevents accidents.
